Noah Hall Honorary Scholarship

The Noah Hall Honorary Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship awarded to a Great Lakes Environmental Law Center summer intern on an annual basis. It was established to honor Noah Hall - the founder of the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center - and to ensure that all law students can pursue public interest internships regardless of whether they receive financial support rom their law school.

It is awarded to a summer intern applicant that has demonstrated a strong interest in furthering environmental and social justice and that does not have access to a guaranteed source of funding to support themselves during their summer internship.

If you are interested in applying for the Noah Hall Honorary Scholarship, please state so in your cover letter for the summer intern position.

Post-Graduate Fellowships

The Great Lakes Environmental Law Center regularly serves as a host organization for a variety of post-graduate fellowship opportunities, such as Equal Justice Works or post-graduate fellowships funded by law schools.

If you are interested in exploring a post-graduate fellowship with the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center, email Nick Leonard at nicholas.leonard@glelc.org.

Summer Internships

The Great Lakes Environmental Law Center regularly hosts 2-5 interns every summer. These internships are reserved for first year or second year law students with a demonstrated interest in environmental and social justice issues. Internships are full-time position for at least 10 weeks.

In general, we request that summer interns seek any available funding from their law school to support their summer internship. For law students that do not have access to a guaranteed source of funding from their law school, the Noah Hall Honorary Scholarship is available to support their internship.

Interested applicants should email a resume and cover letter to Nick Leonard at nicholas.leonard@glelc.org.

Externships

The Great Lakes Environmental Law Center regularly hosts externs during each academic semester. Externships are open to both current law students and pre-law students who either are current undergraduate students or recently graduated students that are interested in attending law school.

If you are interested in applying for an externship, please contact Nick Leonard at nicholas.leonard@glelc.org.
